Workforce Education and Training Powered by CAGC Foundation

NCLBGC Continuing Education

We proudly offer NC Licensing Board for General Contractors (NCLBGC) approved courses to help contractors meet their annual CE requirements. These include the mandatory 2-hour core course and elective courses taught by certified instructors. Check our training calendar  for upcoming opportunities.

Continuing Education Requirements for License Renewal
The NC Licensing Board for General Contractors requires 8 hours of continuing education to be completed annually in order to renew a license. At least one qualifier for licensees in the license classifications of Building, Residential and Unclassified must complete the 8 hours of CE. For the Unclassified license, it must be the qualifier who has passed the building examination. The 8-hour course requirement includes a mandatory 2-hour course taught by instructors certified to teach this course. The remaining 6 hours will be elective courses produced by Board approved providers.
